Key Responsibilities


Relationship Management and Communication


  • Item 1 of 5, 
  • Manage and take a proactive role in strengthening the bonds between local based cabin crew.Item 2 of 5, 
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the local based cabin crew community and office teams.Item 3 of 5, 
  • Be a source of support and guidance for local cabin crew to enable them to adapt to the changing business and operational environment.Item 4 of 5, 
  • Liaise with Airports and other departments.Item 5 of 5, 
  • To communicate with line manager and Employee Relations & Bases any changes of policies and procedures in accordance with legislative changes.


Performance Management


  • Item 1 of 7, 
  • Help enhance the performance standard of local based cabin crew through positive reinforcement and recognition to drive a high-performing culture.Item 2 of 7, 
  • Provide regular feedback, counselling and support to local based cabin crew for performance management.Item 3 of 7, 
  • Monitor local based cabin crew attendance.Item 4 of 7, 
  • Conduct first stage investigations for passenger complaints, punctuality, uniform and grooming infractions and grievances and disciplinary meetings with line manager.Item 5 of 7, 
  • Counsel and coach local based cabin crew and resolve crew-to-crew issues.Item 6 of 7, 
  • Monitor local based cabin crew performance records, provide coaching to ensure communication of high/low scores.Item 7 of 7, 
  • Help to administer the local recognition programme.


Roster Preparation


  • Item 1 of 2, 
  • Gather and send all relevant information for roster preparation to Crew Resources and Liaise with Crew Resources and Crew Operations for roster changesItem 2 of 2, 
  • Handle last minute swaps, special requests and other last-minute requirements.


Administration and Workforce Planning


  • Item 1 of 7, 
  • Ensure the integrity of Cathay Pacific cabin safety and security policies and procedures are maintained at all times.Item 2 of 7, 
  • Monitor operation and oversee local base office administration.Item 3 of 7, 
  • Ensure crew report and depart on time and liaise with ground employee in regard to any disruptions to flight schedules.Item 4 of 7, 
  • Interact with crew, issue notices via email or bulletin board with regards to inflight services, crew administration and base specific information.Item 5 of 7, 
  • Receive sick call-ins and make roster adjustments as required.Item 6 of 7, 
  • Collaborate with GBS and Crew Rostering team on the subsequent roster arrangements for resignation cases and support the process for all cabin crew leave requests.Item 7 of 7, 
  • Maintain the content of the persona internal website for Chinese Mainland base.


Recruitment, Selection and Promotion


  • Item 1 of 4, 
  • Prepare recruitment materials.Item 2 of 4, 
  • Compile data file for enhanced merit-based promotions.Item 3 of 4, 
  • Participate in recruitment, selection and promotion activities as required.Item 4 of 4, 
  • Liaise with external service providers on recruitment processes and relevant authorities on crew list registration and other visa application.


Preflight Briefing


  • Item 1 of 1, 
  • Ensure preflight briefing is conducted and crew are up to standard before operating. 


E&A


    Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required.


Requirements


Academic Qualifications 


  • Item 1 of 1, 
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

 

Knowledge, skills, training and experience  


  • Item 1 of 3, 
  • At least 3 years' relevant work experience in the airline industry.Item 2 of 3, 
  • Good computer literacy e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word.Item 3 of 3, 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent command of written and spoken English and Putonghua
